Who is God?  What is He to you?  What is your view of Him?  Right now my oldest is going through a stage where he flexes his littl arms and says "Check out my guns!"  The other I laughed and told him they were the biggest I had ever seen.  Without missing a beat, he stopped and said "No daddy... God's are bigger"  There it is, my son's view of God is that God is a super hero with bulging arms and super strength.  He will be there to catch him just before he hits the ground, he'll pop out of nowhere and stop the evil just before they get away.  A child's view of God is an amzing thing.  It tells us so much about what that child is thinking and how he looks at the world.  We tend to think that he still has an innocent view of this world and a unrealistic view of God.  We grow up and our view of God changes.  He moves from the super hero who can do anything and everything to this galtic being who created the world and died for my sins.  Is that wrong?  Yes and no.  God did indeed create the world and His death was the cost of our transgressions, but He's so much more.  Before the fall of man, He walked in the garden with Adam and Eve, He was their friend.  He lead the Israelites through the desert, He was their guide.  He taught the disciples prior to his death, He was their teacher.  The Bible has so many more examples:

God is a super hero.  He has already saved us from death, he gave His life and pulled us out of the pit.  And those who turn a blind eye to God and continue to live in the ways of this world, will be caught.  There is no escape from the punishment of our sins, other than the blood of Christ.
